GivingPlus Enhancement for 2005

The GivingPlus Program from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans supplements financial gifts given by Thrivent Financial members to Lutheran organizations enrolled in the GivingPlus program.  The following program enhancements have been made:

• No minimum donation amount required.  (Previously members were required to give a minimum donation of at least $50.)
• Member giving range increased.  Members can give donations for any amount up to $600 to two different enrolled Lutheran organizations each year.  Thrivent Financial will supplement $1 for every $2 donated on each of these member gifts up to $300 per year.  (Previously members could give up to $400 to two different enrolled organizations and Thrivent Financial supplements each of those gifts up to $200 per year.)
• Members can make multiple donations to the same organization and Thrivent will supplement the donations up to $300.  (Previously members could have only one donation per organization supplemented each year up to the maximum supplement.  If members gave multiple donations to the organization, the organization receiving the donation had to hold the gift forms until all donations for the year were received.)
• Additional Lutheran organizations eligible to enroll in the GivingPlus program.  Independent Lutheran organizations that are not governed or controlled by or receive operational subsidy from a single national church body may now enroll in the program.
