ALIS sponsors seminar to teach biblical conflict resolution
Everyone experiences conflict. But few people know how to resolve conflict according to biblical principals. To address this issue, Ambassadors of Reconciliation will present a seminar, “Blessed Are the Peacemakers”, on Saturday, March 13 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Altamont Lutheran Interparish School in Altamont. The cost for the seminar is $12, which includes a noon meal and refreshments. Early registration is encouraged.
Ambassadors of Reconciliation helps thousands of people resolve family, business, employment, and church disputes. The seminar features stories from some of the people who used the principles taught and experienced reconciliation in seemingly impossible situations.
Pastor Jim Wright of Immanuel Lutheran Church says of the program, "I went through this training four years ago. At the time I was helping another pastor who was in conflict with his congregation. What I learned really changed my life. The training helped me to respond in a God pleasing way to conflicts not only in that situation, but also in my own church, my family, and in my community. With God's Word for guidance, Christians should be able to settle their conflicts without lawsuits, broken relationships, or divorce."
Ambassadors of Reconciliation is dedicated to assisting people to live, proclaim, and cultivate lifestyles of reconciliation. This non-profit organization provides resources and training for biblical conflict resolution. In addition, the ministry helps people in specific disputes through conflict coaching, mediation, arbitration, and consulting services.
Altamont Lutheran Interparish School believes this training is beneficial to the school, the local Christian congregations, and the community. Therefore it is making it possible for this internationally-presented seminar to be available in our area.
