Principal's Corner
Welcome to Altamont Lutheran Interparish School
website. Thank you for stopping in and visiting with us. We look
forward to you stopping by the school and seeing how the Lord has blessed
the school.
Altamont Lutheran Interparish School, known as ALIS,
was formed in 1973. It was the combination of four schools: Bethlehem
Lutheran, St. Paul's Blue Point Lutheran, Immanuel Lutheran, and Zion
Lutheran School. They consolidated to form one school and added
classrooms to Immanuel's building.
The Lord has blessed the school with called teachers
who are very dedicated and have taught for more than 14 years. ALIS is
also blessed with a wonderful relationship with the Altamont Public School
District. The Altamont Public School District provides special
education, band, track, Christmas Appreciation Breakfast, field trips,
closing announcements, administration meetings, Title programs, dances,
Reading Recovery, bussing and grants. This is one of the greatest blessings
God has given us. We are very supportive of their programs and work
together for the best interest of the students in Altamont.
