Carl Benning, Grade 6 Home Room Teacher
and Technology Coordinator
My name is Mr. Benning. I teach 1st, 3rd, 5th,
6th, 7th, and 8th grade science. I look at science as learning
about God's creation. He did a lot when he said "let there be...".
In science we do some labs in class.
Every
quarter has a special project for 5th through 8th grade. To look
at the projects for this year, visit each class. In the lower
grades we have units in our books on physical, earth, and life science.
Seventh grade studies earth science and 8th grade studies life science.
Sixth grade memory is quizzed on Tuesday and
Fridays. Please check the schedule for that day's work (click
below). Most quizzes are fill in the blanks. Sixth grade
religion is the study of God's word and doctrine using Matthew and Acts.
I have taught at ALIS since 1989. I also
taught at schools in Decatur, Indiana and Worden, Illinois. I have
9 years experience in working with handicapped persons in a sheltered
workshop.
My family includes my wife, Karen, sons Matthew
and Lucas, and daughter Becky, her husband, Kyle, and granddaughter
Hannah Norris. |
