Computers

The sixth graders will have computer instruction in the lab 2 or 3 times per week.  This includes keyboardingusing the program Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing.  Math skills are reinforced using the program Math Facts in a Flash.  Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic Desktop Publishing are other programs taught to give the students a wide variety of skills on which to build.  At times the computer class is used to integrate lessons or projects from other curriculum.
