Reading

Sixth grade reading is using a reading series from Prentice Hall.  We will be covering all the aspects of literature, including fiction and non-fiction, short stories, poetry, drama, and folk literature.

Each unit will have skill practice and assessment, vocabulary for each story, as well as comprehension assessment after each story.  We will also be reading a novel in class and doing activities which go along withthe novel.

Accelerated Reader is included in the reading class, and each student will be required to earn 10 points per quarter.
