I use the Accelerated Math curriculum in grade 5-7. The Saxon textbook is used as an informational resource, along with notes given on selected lessons. A Google document has been added with class notes that the students can assess at home. This program is a tremendous tool enabling the students to work at different levels geared to their ability level. It promotes skills of time management, self-motivation, and organization, which are so important in every level of academics and employment opportunities. One of the biggest problems I face in teaching math is getting students to realize how much fun math can be, and to destroy the idea that math is too difficult for them to be successful.
