The Shurley Method - English Made Easy

We study parts of speech, getting into more detail each year.  We incorporate these parts of speech into sentences, paragraphs, and essays.   

English definitions are taught in jingle form.  Students are taught how to ask the right questions to find the role each word plays in the sentence being analyzed.  Students are taught how to write and expand sentences correctly by writing practice sentences from grammar labels.  Students learn the foundation of sentence composition:  how to write a sentence, how to improve it, how to expand it, and how to combine them into paragraphs.
